Quick and Easy Halloween Candle Craft

Here’s one of the easiest Halloween craft for adults ever. Turn your plain, ordinary jar candles into the coolest Halloween decorations in minutes by picking up a pack or two of window clings. Yes, window clings.

I regularly recycle my glass candle jars each season. We have a local candle outlet that has dozens of colors and scents to choose from. A few times a year, I gather up a collection of empty jars to have them refilled with seasonal colors and scents. For more sustainable decorating ideas, here’s a post on Eight Eco-Friendly Fall Decorating Tips.

A Happy Halloween candle, a can of Grove Collaborative Spiced Pumpkin hand soap and a glass pumpkin soap dispenser.

To prepare the jars each season, I place then on a heat proof surface and fill almost to the top with boiling water. Once the wax hardens, I pop it out and clean the inside of the jars with Goo Gone.

The colors and scents I chose this year were a white Marshmallow Fireside, an autumn brown Bourbon Pumpkin and a harvest yellow Cranberry Kettle Corn. They all smell amazing. But the jars looked sorta’ ho hum. Until … I found this pack of Halloween-theme window clings at the Dollar Tree for just $1.25.

The colors and design of these clings were a perfect match for my black, white, and orange Halloween decorations.  They also had plenty of all-themed options to choose from.

To assemble, clean the outside of the jars with window cleaner and let dry. Carefully position the window clings to the outside of the jar making sure to smooth out any bubbles. That’s honestly all there is to it.

I love how these turned out!  They were so simple – I almost didn’t add them to the blog. That was until a few people mentioned that they thought I had purchased them. So, there you have it. I hope you enjoy this quick trick to make this easy Halloween craft.
